Riverfront Blues & BBQ Festival is a fantastically fun music festival featuring outstanding live music from across the U.S. and an Amateur BBQ Cook-off that will have chef setting your tastebuds ablaze!. The 2016 festival on August 5, 6 and 7 (Friday through Sunday) will be our 16th annual event. Each year gets better and 2016 will be no exception. Though we have developed a reputation for booking emerging artists, we will also be booking more “Name” artists for 2016.
Friday, August 5, 6 & 7
Mark your calendar for Friday, August 5th through Sunday, August 7th when the 2016 Riverfront Blues Festival will bring the best of the blues to Tubman-Garrett Riverfront Park.
This annual Wilmington tradition is a three-day, outdoor music festival held on the historic Wilmington riverfront. The festival has featured many memorable performances from notable blues artists like Koko Taylor, Pinetop Perkins and Elvin Bishop.
“The Blues Festival always brings energy and excitement to the Riverfront,” said Mayor Dennis P. Williams. “The Blues Festival, like our other music concerts, serves as a way to bring visitors to Wilmington and showcase all our city has to offer.”
